MAA Found Math for the Week of September 24, 2012
MAA Found Math: We frequently get submissions of vapor trails. This week's MAA Found Math features two of the best.
Francesco De Comité (Université des Sciences et Technologies de Lille) sent this photo of intersecting lines over Prague Castle.
Sara Johnson (Juniata College) submitted this photo. She wrote, "This is a photo that I took while my friend Brennan Cornelius and I were on our way to school, both of us are currently math student teachers. After noticing how it looked like two parallel lines cut by a transversal, we discussed the measurements of the angles for the rest of the trip."
