In 2006, the fourth summer of the PMET project, the PMET Workshop Program hosted 6 final workshops:
four ( 4 ) new workshops and two ( 2 ) continuations.


Preparation of Elementary School Teachers May 22 - 26, 2006 El Paso Community College, El Paso, TX clik here to see program Director: Joan Evans and Bernard Madison Participants were invited from the El Paso area. Some spots were available for faculty outside the El Paso area. Preparation of Elementary School Teachers June 5 - 9, 2006 California State University, Fresno, CA Director: Dale Oliver and Phyllis Chin This was a Commuting Workshop for faculty in the Fresno area. Some spots were available for faculty outside Fresno area. Preparation of Middle School Teachers http://scimath.unl.edu/PMET June 25 - June 30, 2006 University of Nebraska, Lincoln, NE Directors :Jim Lewis, Ruth Heaton, Cheryl Olsen In conjuction with the Math in the Middle Summer Institute, a Math Science Partnership Institute funded by NSF. Also beneficial to mathematics faculty interested in working with future elementary school mathematics teachers.

The following two (2) workshops were second summer continuations of programs begun in 2005 with existing participants.
