Tools for Section Officers
- Committee
on
Sections. The Committee on Sections of the MAA is the primary
medium for exchange of information between the national organization
and its sections, as well as between the sections themselves. It
facilitates section activities when called upon, helps in constructing
and revising section bylaws, and plans an annual Section Officers
Meeting, which is held during the summer meeting of the Association. If
you have any questions, you should contact Rick Gillman, chair of the
Committee on Sections.
- Handbook for
Section Officers. This contains additional section
information such as annual report summaries, membership demographics,
travel reimbursement forms, student nomination forms and Guidelines for
Section Officers.
- MAA Section Bylaws.
View and download the bylaws of the MAA sections.
- Join the
Listserv for Section Officers. Joining is a very easy and
convenient way to communicate among sections.
- National
Officers Available as Section Speakers. These officers will be
reimbursed for their travel and lodging by the MAA National Office.
- Excel spreadsheets containing
list
of past speakers at section meetings from 2005 - 2006. These
speakers are responsible for their own travel and lodging.
- Order
Mailing Labels. To order
mailing labels for your section, please complete the online form, or
send an email to Kerry Sullivan.
We can also send out email messages to your section.
To organize an email mailing, please send Kerry Sullivan your email message,
along
with the subject and recipient group
and we will format it and have it sent out. The email will be
configured in your name but will come from the address programs@maa.org. Please ensure
that your members have that address in their address book to avoid spam
filters.
