College Mathematics Journal: Search for a New Editor

The MAA is seeking a new Editor for College Mathematics Journal

The Mathematical Association of America seeks to identify candidates to succeed Michael Henle as Editor of The College Mathematics Journal (CMJ) when his term expires in December 2013.

CMJ is an expository journal of mathematics accessible at the early undergraduate level, published in January, March, May, September, and November.

The job of CMJ Editor typically requires a time commitment of about three days per week. Duties extend throughout the year, with a somewhat quieter period in March. Some support, largely in the form of course release time, is available.

Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, the names of three references, and a statement of interest containing a vision of and ideas about the journal. Nominations are welcome. Review of applicants will begin March 15, 2012, with appointment as Editor-Elect to commence on January 1, 2013. The five-year editorial term runs January 1, 2014, to December 31, 2018.
