Our staff plays an important part in helping the MAA to maintain its leadership position in the mathematical community.

The original 1915 charter of the MAA declared that the purpose of the MAA is to "assist in promoting the interest of mathematics in America, especially in the collegiate field." Nearly a century later, that charter still shapes the mission of this organization.
