In a rectangle, having been given the diagonal d and perimeter p, find the sides.

The answer is: the sides would be \(\dfrac{p}{4}+\sqrt{\dfrac{d^2}{2}-\dfrac{p^2}{16}}\) and \(\dfrac{p}{4}-\sqrt{\dfrac{d^2}{2}-\dfrac{p^2}{16}}\)
