We Do Math!
The new MAA career brochure We Do Math! highlights eight profiles that illustrate careers ”beyond the classroom.“ These vignettes describe a variety of non-academic careers for which a background in the mathematical sciences is useful. Each of the jobs presented shows real people in real jobs. The eight-panel brochure is 4″ by 9″ (folded) and can be mailed in a standard envelope or distributed in the classroom or at career fairs or recruiting events. This is a great way to show how mathematics is involved in just about everything!
Many of those profiled can be found in 101 Careers in Mathematics, or on our website at http://www.maa.org/careers/. The latest edition of the career brochure was just released in late 2007 and is now available for purchase (100 for $30).
