Career Fair at the 2009 Joint Mathematics Meetings

The Mathematical Association of America is holding a career fair at the 2009 Joint Mathematics Meetings. This event will be held at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, DC on Monday, January 5, 2009, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.

The JMM Career Fair provides a unique opportunity for undergraduate students, graduate students and recent graduates with mathematics degrees to meet leaders in business, industry and government. Employers will not only be distributing information about their organization, but possibly also be reviewing resumes and scheduling follow-up interviews with prospective employees. Students often ask “What can I do with my math degree other than teach?”, “Who is hiring mathematicians?” and “How do I contact prospective employers?” The 2009 JMM Career Fair is the MAA's response to our students. We have organized the Fair to focus on non-academic jobs within organizations.
