Mark D. Meyerson is a professor at the U.S. Naval Academy where he's been since 1978, except for a year in Dartmouth, England. After getting his doctorate from Stanford he spent three years at the University of Illinois on a post-doctorate fellowship. His research is in topology and geometry, especially low dimensional topology, fractals, and axioms of geometry.
