Basic Quadratic Forms is a great introduction to the theory of quadratic forms. The author is clearly an expert on the area as well as a masterful teacher. All the standard topics found in any introductory text on quadratic forms are included with a wealth of examples and a range of exercises. The well placed references give an interested reader the opportunity to enhance his or her knowledge.

This book is ideal for an independent study in quadratic forms, or anyone who is interested in becoming familiar with the subject. It should be included in the collection of any quadratic forms enthusiast.
