Media sightings for Math Horizons' authors and articles!

USA Today picks up on the Sparks-Abrahamson forecast with "Baseball Prediction Takes a Geeky Turn" by Dan Vergano.  (November 13, 2005)

The April 2005 article “A Mathematical Model to Predict Award Winners” by Rebecca L. Sparks and David L. Abrahamson led to the Inside Science News Service  report titled "Carpenter, Rivera to take 2005 Cy Young Awards, mathematicians predict." Davidson undergraduates Michael Flake and Peter Allison are profiled in a News & Events story on the Davidson College web page because of their involvement with Math Horizons.  Flake is a member of the Student Advisory Group and has authored three book reviews for the magazine. Allison is the author of the upcoming article "Fighting Terrorism with Mathematics". (October 31, 2005)
