The 2013 Joint Policy Board for Mathematics (JPBM) Communications Award is presented to John Allen Paulos, Professor of Mathematics at Temple University. Professor Paulos's books, columns, reviews, speeches, and editorials have for more than 25 years brought mathematically-informed ideas, information, opinion, and humor to a broad non-specialist audience.
Awards will be presented during the Joint Prize Session on Thursday, January 10, 2013, at the 2013 Joint Mathematics Meetings in San Diego, California.
