Departmental Membership

Recommended for:

  • Four-year colleges and universities
  • Two-year colleges

    • Membership Qualifications:

  • The department should be in the mathematical sciences or a related discipline.
  • Student nominees may be Graduate or Undergraduate students.
  • This type of membership is not intended for institutional libraries. Libraries interested in purchasing subscriptions to MAA journals should call 1-800-331-1622 (US Only) or 301-617-7800 (Outside the US).

    • Format:

  • Departmental benefits are provided in print format.
  • Student benefits are provided in electronic format.
  • Membership is for 12 months and is administered on an academic calendar year basis (September 1 thru August 31).

    Cost:

    Departmental membership dues are $370.

    There are additional dues associated with student nominees. The dues are just $32 per student (graduate or undergraduate) and for every five nominees the department pays for, you will receive one free nominee membership.

    Example: A Departmental membership with 6 nominees would cost $370 (for the department benefits) plus $160 (for five paid nominees plus one free nominee). The total cost, in this example, would be $530.
