The mission of the MAA is to advance the mathematical sciences, especially at the collegiate level, and our dedicated community of members is critical to the successful fulfillment of this mission.
As we embark on our second century as the largest professional society that focuses on mathematics accessible at the collegiate level, educational imperatives, performance standards, technological advances, and an increasingly complex workplace all present daunting challenges and wonderful opportunities for our members to have a significant positive impact on mathematics education worldwide.
Our members include university, college, middle, and high school mathematics teachers; graduate and undergraduate students; pure and applied mathematicians; computer scientists; statisticians; and many others in academia, government, business, and industry. We welcome all who are interested in the mathematical sciences.
