Celebrate Coincidence, Says Spiegelhalter

Sir David Spiegelhalter, Cambridge University statistician and professor of the Public Understanding of Risk, thinks coincidences should be celebrated.

And he has ideas for how to do so. On September 19, Spiegelhalter hosted a Huntrodds' Party in London (see the Independent's story for the origin of the name). A Huntrodds' Party brings together 23 strangers and charges them with discovering as many coincidences as possible. The best coincidence wins a prize.
