Fields Medalist Draws Inspiration from Rubik's Cube
In a New Scientist interview with Dana Mackenzie, 2014 Fields medalist Manjul Bhargava answers questions about his mathematical heroes, his favorite theorem, and how the Rubik's cube helped him extend Gauss's law of composition.
Mackenzie also records Bhargava's reaction to the first woman (Maryam Mirzakhani) winning the Fields Medal after 52 consecutive male winners.
