Geometry Comes to the Gridiron

Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett wants his players to internalize the Pythagorean theorem, and, to force the issue, he's incorporating geometry lessons into team meetings.

Especially important for wide receivers and quarterbacks, Garrett's lessons make the mathematics of plays more explicit than footballers are used to.

"I'm terrible at math," says Cowboys wideout Dwayne Harris. "The only math I know is dollar signs."
