Kalman Racks Up Another Writing Award

American University recognizes the achievement of mathematics and statistics professor Dan Kalman, who will bring the Lester R. Ford Award home from MAA MathFest this August.

The university calls Kalman's ninth prize for expository books and articles "a recognition of his special brand of scholarship, combining original mathematical thought, historical and literature research, and an investigative mind-set."
