In an effort to inject more discussion about critical science issues into the U.S. presidential election campaign this year, Scientific American, in partnership with ScienceDebate.org, presented presidential candidates Barack Obama and Mitt Romney with 14 questions on some of the biggest scientific and technological challenges facing the nation.
