Project Einstein Seeks the Genetic Basis of Math Genius

Entrepreneur Jonathan Rothberg and physicist Max Tegmark have enlisted 400 mathematicians and theoretical physicists in a genome sequencing effort dubbed Project Einstein.

While Rothberg hopes the project will yield insight into which genes lay the groundwork for mathematical success, critics not only counter that the study is too small but also raise ethical concerns.
