Science Museum Celebrates Turing Centenary with Pilot ACE
The Science Museum in London opens a special exhibit to honor the life of Alan Turing, English mathematician, logician, cryptanalyst, and computer scientist.
Open from May 21 to May 31, 2012, the exhibition tells the story of Turing and his most important ideas.
According to a Science Museum press release, “At the heart of the exhibition is the Pilot ACE computer, built to Turing’s ground-breaking design. It is the most significant surviving Turing artefact in existence.”
Turing was born on June 23, 1912.
