Architect George L. Legendre recently wrote, “Pasta by Design,” a book that catalogs variations of the Italian favorite with elaborate mathematical formulas and technical illustration.
“Home cooks might blanch at the CAD-style schematics and trigonometric equations,” wrote Stephen Heyman for The New York Times Magazine, “but they can nonetheless appreciate that each pasta profile comes with cooking times and serving suggestions.
