Two Mathematicians among 2014 MacArthur Fellows

Two of this year's 21 MacArthur fellows are mathematicians: Jacob Lurie (Harvard University) and Yitang "Tom" Zhang (University of New Hampshire).

Lurie is creating a conceptual foundation for derived algebraic geometry, while Zhang made news in 2014 for proving a groundbreaking result about the distribution of primes.
