Zombies Enlisted in STEM Education Effort

Graphing calculator giant Texas Instruments has teamed with The Big Bang Theory's Mayim Bialik and the National Academy of Science's Science and Entertainment Exchange to offer teachers a series of classroom activities aimed at getting kids jazzed about STEM.

A zombie-themed activity introduces students to neural anatomy, mathematical modeling, and graphing techniques. Other activities use superheroes, forensics, and space to engage kids with technical material.

Teachers can download the activities for free and run them on either TI calculators or iPads.
