Latest News from MAA Public Policy: This month the MAA launched its 2010 science policy advocacy program to strengthen federal support for undergraduate mathematics. A team of MAA members and staff presented several proposals to Members of Congress and their staff including support for the President's overall FY2011 budget request for the National Science Foundation (NSF), which keeps pace with doubling the agency's budget by the year 2017. New Contest for Students: The Committee on the American Mathematics Competitions announces a new contest, the USA Junior Mathematical Olympiad, for students in 10th grade and below, beginning in April 2010. More info here.

Online Interactive Textbook: The MAA's online interactive textbook, Calculus: Modeling and Application, 2nd. Edition
will be ready for distribution in time for the Fall 2010 semester. The text covers two semesters of single-variable calculus. The text material is freely available online until Fall 2010.
