Monthly Reprints Paper Cited in Nobel Prize Announcement

The May issue of The American Mathematical Monthly includes a reprint the 1962 Monthly paper the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences cited when announcing that Lloyd Shapley would share the 2012 Nobel Prize in Economics. Read more.

MAA MathFest is coming to Hartford, CT, this summer, and graduate and undergraduate students have until June 8 to make submissions for the student paper and poster sessions. Submit.

 

16th Annual Legacy of R. L. Moore Inquiry-Based Learning Conference

MAA National Elections 2013 Close Today

The MAA National Elections will officially close today at Midnight PDT. All members of MAA (other than undergraduate students) are eligible to vote. Online voting, using the third-party service Survey and Ballot Systems, began April 3. On this date, all eligible voters with a valid email address received an email with a direct link to a ballot. Any eligible member of MAA without an email address in the MAA database received a letter with a web address (as well as the sign-in information) at which he or she can vote. Don't wait: vote today! Results will be made available here soon.
