Call for Minicourse Proposals
All MAA members are invited to consider submitting proposals for minicourses at the two annual meetings of the MAA. In particular, we especially encourage proposals to MathFest 2013 that are in concert with the Math for Planet Earth emphasis in 2013 (mpe2013.org) and its four themes of a planet (i) to discover, (ii) that supports life, (iii) organized by humans, and (iv) at risk. MathFest 2013 proposals are due by October 9, 2012. Joint Meetings 2014 proposals are due byDecember 25, 2012.More.

 

Travel Grant Program for the 2013 Mathematical Congress of the Americas

Funding for partial travel support for up to 60 U.S.-based mathematicians attending MCA 2013 in Guanajuato, Mexico, August 5-9, 2013, is now available.Details.

 

Zip Code Search for AMC Sites
TheAmerican Mathematics Competitionshas a new online feature, a zip code search. Thezip code searchshows schools participating in the AMC contests in a specific area. This is especially useful for students whose own school does not participate in the competitions, home-schooled students looking for testing locations, and institutions of higher learning that are interested in hosting the contests. Encourage schools and teachers in your area to participate in the AMC contests if they are not already.
