The Akamai Foundation awarded a total of $45,000 in college scholarship money to the three highest scorers in the 2013 U.S.A. Mathematical Olympiad (USAMO).
Robert (Bobby) Shen of Dulles High School, Sugar Land, Texas, received a $20,000 scholarship for his first place finish; Zhouqun (Alex) Song of Phillips Exeter Academy, Exeter, New Hampshire, received $15,000 for second place; and Calvin Deng of North Carolina School of Science and Math, Durham, North Carolina, received $10,000 for earning the third highest score on the six-question, two-day USAMO test.
