Summary: Five students will conduct research in radio labeling of graphs. The theme will be the investigation of the relationship between the radio number of a box product of two graphs and the radio numbers of the factor graphs. Accordingly, students will attempt to establish radio numbers for families of graphs, with the goal of collecting enough information to make a reasonable conjecture about the radio number of a box product. We will build on results obtained and methods developed during the 2006 REU, and see what new results we can find.
