Summary: The focus of this research experience is to expose students to techniques and methods used for building mathematical models and for analyzing data. More specifically, students will be taught data mining and applied statistics techniques. These techniques include regression, decision-tree modeling, classification, and clustering.The focus of the summer program will be on predictive modeling. Students are required to write a technical paper and give a professional presentation.
