This is a Dover reprint of a book first published by McGraw-Hill in 1994. The Telegraphic Review in the April, 1995 issue of the American Mathematical Monthlysaid:

Standard beginning topics, plus some material on chaotic dynamical systems. Informal, conversational exposition. Most sections include computer exercises; each section ends with a "journal entry'' exercise.

The reprint preserves the large format of the original but does not use color or fancy paper. The price is about half of what most textbooks of this type are going for these days.

For those who want a fairly traditional textbook, this is certainly worth a look.
