Better Practices for Presenting Mathematics on the Web

Author(s):
Kyle Siegrist

This note introduces a new wiki devoted to Better Practices for Presenting Mathematics on the Web. This wiki is an outgrowth of a workshop with the same name held July 15-21, 2007 at the Carriage House Conference Center of the Mathematical Association of America in Washington, DC . The workshop and the wiki had a very practical flavor. Participants developed their own new materials and in some cases modified their own existing materials using some of the techniques presented at the workshop and on the wiki. We invite you to visit the wiki and to participate in it for:

  1. Examples illustrating better practices that contribute to better learning.
  2. Specific how-tos that help Web writers realize these better practices.
  3. General discussions about current and future better practices.
