DRILL 3.1 - Special Feature: Adaptive Testing

Author(s):

Different students need different amounts of practice. This is achieved in DRILL by allowing the instructor several options. One way is to set the pass level high (such as 100%) and the number of allowed attempts greater than one. This way, a student can pass the exam on the first try, or can take it many times if more practice is needed. If a student fails an exam, the following is displayed:

exam ends with failure

The student who passes an exam sees

exam ends with success

Another instructor option is practice mode, whose details are displayed below. Practice mode gives feedback but doesn't count against attempts.
