The Council on Higher Education Accreditation provides what is arguably the most over-arching look at accreditation issues, and also maintains a directory of regional accrediting organizations.

The National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education produces standards for teacher preparation programs.

The American Chemical Society provides recommendations for chemistry programs.

ABET maintains resources for assessment and criteria for accreditation for engineering departments.

The Association of Computing Machinery maintains recommendations for computer science curricula.


Data and Broad-based Policy for Higher Education

The National Science Foundation gathers a wide range of science and engineering statistics. The annual Science and Engineering Indicators may be of particular interest.
