This activity is designed to help students connect various representations (verbal, tabular, graphical) of linear functions. The activity is designed to be completed in groups of two.
A set of four practice sheets on solving multi-step equations. Students will complete these worksheets in groups of four. Teacher instructions are enclosed.
Students will use a variety of different size squares to form right triangles. After recording the lengths of the sides, students will square the values and look for the relationship.

This webpage displays fully-worked examples finding the first terms of the series solution of a second-order linear homogeneous differential equation with polynomial coefficients.
Students use the internet to research values relevant to projectile motion such as acceleration due to gravity and the height of objects.
Students learn to develop the equation for a line. The emphasis is on the significance of the slope and the $$y$$-intercept.
A hands-on activity to help students understand four basic binary operations in algebraic expressions, solving linear equations in one variable, and solving a formula for an indicated variable, us
The second part of the Money Investigation activities.
Hands-on activity. Plotting points, writing linear functions algebraically, relating slope and $$y$$-intercept to context. Compares value of coins in different piles.
