# Linear Transformation applet

Topic(s):

There are no instructions for this applet. The user enters the 4 entries of a 2x2 matrix row by row from left to right (i.e., the 1,1 entry, then the 1,2 entry, then the 2,1 entry, and finally the 2,2 entry), then selects figures (scribbles, lines, rectangles, and/or circles) to draw on the left-hand set of axes, and sees the result of applying the transformation to the figures on the right-hand set of axes. The figures can be drawn in black, green, and/or red. To see the effect of a different matrix, the user must clear the screen (with the clear button) and draw new figures. The user can choose the size in pixels of the windows, but cannot zoom or translate the windows. As the cursor is moved around the screen, its coordinates are shown at the upper left (for the left-hand axes) or upper right (for the right-hand axes).
