Summary:
This project is about revealing the relationship between simple graphs and two-step nilpotent Lie algebras via a functor between the categories of the former and the latter objects (discovered by S. Dani, M. Miankar, 2004). The study in the project emphasizes on characterizing of the image of that functor as well as on constructing interesting geometric structures (such as integrable complex structures) on the Lie algebras corresponding to graphs under the functor.
The project is a continuation of the Summer 2011 NREUP research at FIU.
