About the Author: (from Math Horizons, Winter (1993)) Joel Chan is an undergraduate at the University of Toronto pursuing a degree in mathematics and economics. For three years he has been actively involved with the MAA Student Chapter in Toronto and he edits the MAA 001 Newsletter, a biannual publication dedicated to math humor. His other interests include baseball and photography.
