About the Author: (from The College Mathematics Journal, Vol. 14, No. 4, (1983)) Richard J. Trudeau has taught at Stonehill College since getting his M.A. from Boston College in 1970. He has no interest in computers, having realized, after a brief flirtation, that they can’t tell him anything he wants to know. He is the author of two books: “Dots and Lines,” on graph theory and “The Non-Euclidean Revolution,” from which this is an excerpt.
