About the Authors: (from The College Mathematics Journal, Vol. 13, No. 5, (1982)) Warren Page, Professor of Mathematics at New York City Technical College, received his Ph.D. from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn in 1971. Since then he has authored more than 25 articles and a text, “Topological Uniform Structures.” Dr. Page is editor of TYCMJ’s Classroom Capsules column, and he is editor of MAA’s recent book, “Two-year College Mathematics Readings.”
Vedula N. Murty is Professor of Mathematics and Statistics at the Capitol Campus of The Pennsylvania State University, Middletown, where he has been employed since 1970. He is the author of several articles. His interests are in the fields of Mathematical Statistics, Sampling Theory and Practice, Experimental Designs, Operations Research, and Analysis.
