He earned his B.A. and M.S. degrees at Fort Hays Kansas State University and an Ed.D. with emphasis in mathematics at Oklahoma State University. Besides teaching for seventeen years in his present position, he taught for one year each at Fort Hays Kansas State University, Hays, Kansas and Muskogee High School, Muskogee, Oklahoma.
