The MAA Undergraduate Student Poster Session is reserved for undergraduate and first-year graduate students submitting posters on work done while an undergraduate. Posters will be viewed during the meeting and feedback provided by professionals and mathematicians will be available.

Appropriate poster topics include: a new result, a new proof of a known result, a new mathematical model, an innovative solution to a Putnam problem, a method of solution for an applied problem. Purely expository topics are not appropriate for this session. For more information, please see A Guide to Writing an Abstract.

All presenting students must also register for the conference itself at the MAA MathFest website. Visit the official MathFest website for complete registration and program information. MAA MathFest is the flagship conference of the largest community of mathematicians, students, and enthusiasts, and offers a variety of sessions that are designed to appeal to undergraduates..

2023 Session Times

Public viewing of the MAA Undergraduate Student Poster Session will occur on Friday, August 4 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. in the West Hall at the Tampa Convention Center.

We need approximately 300 judges for the 2023 poster session. You can sign up to judge when you register for MathFest.
