Betsy Yanik

Elizabeth (Betsy) Yanik is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Economics and Emporia State University. She is the co-organizer of three annual conferences for young women at Emporia State: Sonia Kovalevsky Mathematics Day, Expanding Your Horizons in Science and Mathematics, and MASTER IT (Mathematics and Science to Explore Careers - Investigating Together). She was awarded a Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Mentoring during ceremonies in Washington, D.C., which concluded with an Oval Office meeting of the awardees with the President in May 2005.

Kathleen Sullivan

Kathleen Sullivan, Professor Emerita of Mathematics at Seattle University, directs Splash, a four-week summer math and science enrichment program for middle school girls, which has been running for more than 15 years.
