Co-Directors:
Sadie Bragg, Borough of Manhattan Community College, sbragg@bmcc.cuny.edu
Bragg is co-director of the AMATYC Standards 2006 Project, a past
president of AMATYC and of NYSMATYC, and the recipient of the NYSMATYC
Award for Outstanding Contributions to Mathematics Education. She
has served as the Northeast Regional Vice President of AMATYC and as a
member of MAA's Committee on
Two-Year Colleges. Bragg is co-author of many mathematics
textbooks
K-14.
Brad Chin, West Valley
College, brad_chin@westvalley.edu
Since 1999, Brad Chin has been a full-time math professor at West
Valley College, where he also served as department chair. An
active, life member of both AMATYC and MAA, he is part of AMATYC's
Faculty Development Committee and chairs MAA's Committee on Two-Year
Colleges.
Karen Gaines, St. Louis Community
College, kgaines@stlcc.edu
Karen Gaines has been teaching full time at St. Louis Community College
for 10 years. Prior to that she was an engineer with McDonnell
Douglas. Her interests in applications has lead her to be a
member of the two NASA AMAYTYC projects as well as a PI on the
MATHWORKS project. She was a member of the second year of Project
NeXT and looks forward to continuing her involvement through Project
ACCESS.
Alice Kaseberg, Lane Community College (retired), kaseberg@compuserve.com
Kaseberg has served as AMATYC NW Vice-President. She served on
AMATYC's Conference Evaluation and NCTM Standards Review committees and
the NASA-AMATYC-NSF Project Coalition 2. She has been a visiting
scholar at the EQUALS Project, Lawrence Hall of Science, U of CA,
Berkeley and received a Curriculum Award by Women Educators, AERA. She
taught math and engineering science for 15 years at LCC after 15 years
as a secondary school teacher. She is author of introductory and
intermediate algebra texts.
