This is a Dover reprint of a book first published in 1939. It strikes this reviewer as very old-fashioned. A review appeared in the American Mathematical Monthly and can be accessed through JSTOR. The reviewer, R. S. Burington, seems to be ambivalent about the book, though he ends his review saying that he "recommends that this excellent little book be consulted by both teachers and students."
