Judging Criteria
Each poster is evaluated on three criteria:
- Mathematical Content
- Answers to Questions
- Poster Design
We ask that you keep in mind that the subject of the project was most likely chosen by the advisor and the mathematical content may be a factor of the topic. The answers to questions are particularly important. You should feel free to ask questions of the student(s) on their topic to assess this portion of the judging criteria.
There are two sets of numbers you provide; a primary and secondary evaluation. Due to the large number of poster entries, there may occur ties. The secondary evaluation provides as a tie breaker. The primary evaluation scores a poster from 1-10. The secondary evaluation scales the numbers from 1-5.
A sample evaluation form is available here.
An envelope with the poster abstracts and location of the poster assigned to you along with instructions and evaluation forms will be given to you at the entrance of the poster session.
