Conferences and meetings

National Meetings:

MathFest, the summer meeting of the MAA, places a special emphasis on student participation. Both the MAA Student Chapters and Pi Mu Epsilon sponsor undergraduate student paper sessions, and prizes are awarded for the best papers at a special student banquet. There are also lectures, workshops, a problem solving competition, and a reception for students.

Students are also welcome at the Joint Mathematics Meetings, held every January in conjunction with other mathematics organizations. At this huge mathematics conference, undergraduates may participate in a student poster session and attend the MAA Student Lecture, as well as a reception held in their honor.

MAA Regional Undergraduate Conferences:

The MAA supports many regional undergraduate conferences; click here to find a conference near you, or to apply for funding for a new conference.

MAA Section meetings:

In addition, regional MAA Section meetings welcome student participation, with many Sections scheduling student paper sessions and holding special student paper or poster competitions.
