Publications

The mathematical sciences organizations each have a variety of journals for their members. Here are some journals that might be of special interest to students:

Math Horizons is the MAA magazine written especially for undergraduates.

The College Mathematics Journal contains articles, problems, and reviews for undergraduate students and instructors.

FOCUS is the news magazine of the MAA. It contains information about MAA activities, news about mathematics and the mathematical community, and lively articles about interesting new (and sometimes not so new) ideas in mathematics, mathematics education, and related areas.

JOMA (Journal of Online Mathematics and its Applications) is an online journal of the MAA and often contains articles on undergraduate mathematics.

The Furman University Journal of Undergraduate Mathematics is an online-only journal designed to encourage undergraduate research in the field of mathematics.

The Pi Mu Epsilon Journal presents papers and mathematical problems by and for its members.

The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology Undergraduate Mathematics Journal publishes only papers written by undergraduates on topics related to mathematics.

The CUR Quarterly, published by the Council on Undergraduate Research, includes articles from across CUR's organizational disciplines in the natural and social sciences, mathematics, and engineering.
