Interdisciplinary Programs
Splash This project-based math and science summer enrichment program brings 30 middle school girls to the Seattle University campus for four weeks each summer. The students work in teams under the guidance of professional mentors on topics such as studying the optimal angle for sailing into the wind, investigating a fake glider crash, or calculating the surface area and volume of a Sierpinski pyramid. During the academic year they return for a project day which culminates in a mini-science fair to which families, teachers and friends are invited.
