Arithmos seminars are 24-hour workshops on the classics of mathematics, read in the original, or in a scholarly English translation. We typically cover about a dozen pages of mathematics in a session, which usually runs from 2:00-6:00 pm on the first day, and 9:00 am to 12:30 pm on the second. For more information, see the ARITHMOS website.
Many of our readings come from Ron Calinger's book Classics of Mathematics. We use the Open University's 3-part analysis when discussing our readings: Content, Context and Significance.
